[I Ching hexagram] 34. WATER/TAURUS.

Ham [Gerald Hamilton] has fretted himself into illness. Called in the Horse: go with the Pterocarpus marsupim prescribed. His cries were heart-rending!

Great letter from [F.W.] Hylton; adherence to the historical aspect of the Law—"Cairo Working" Wrote reply: at length.

Weather better; me better; went forth gaily & enjoyed it.

After tea I couldn’t bear to stay in, so I went for a walk.

Temp[erature] 98.6 - 98.4.

Tot: 1 2/3 gr. [Heroin] last 1/4 gr. pure devilishness and sleep, as it seemed to do the last 2 nights.

Sleepy, but no sleep.

Cough at 11 (40).

Equinox ties from B&I very noble!

Ham wailed and moaned & was about to die; feeling a little better in the afternoon, went out on some ramp!! I honestly hope he has a really serious relapse. But nothing will give him sense.
