Deborah [Deborah Hogg] dive-bombed me all day, begging me to stay on (When I mentioned that Catherine was in town, nothing for it but she must come too!), if I wouldn't, it was 'the end of our friendship' etc. ad nauseam. Had I arranged too stay she would have forced me out. The idea is to upset, to gratify her sense of power.
