Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Tuesday, 23 February 1943
[I Ching hexagram] 31.
Tub [Alice Upham] to lunch.
Slept 5 till 8 1/4 AM. Tried again after breakfast—and so on, all day long—tried every trick I know!—rested hard—all in vain.
8 PM Morrison unexpectedly from an XVIII° Rose Croix with the new VE & PP one Harland. This visit relaxed my nerves, & I slept from 9 1/2 - 12.
Will the Bank release that estate? That is the horror in the darkness ever since first interference. Silly, I know: but I feel (as does Saturnus [Karl Germer] attacked) on all sides.
