[I Ching hexagram] 15.

     

Wrote C.H.C. [Dr. C.H. Crawshaw] & Frieda [Frieda Harris].

     

Saw “Watch on the Rhine” as dreary for the most part as, for the most part, most watches are. The story didn’t start at all till the middle of Act 2. The dialogue wasn’t too brilliant, either.

     

4 1/2 [Frater] LOV [James Gilbert Bayley]. Quite forgot him! Luckily, I got in at 5, just as he made his final assault on the door.
