Countless millions of gulls’ egg—we are all short of eggs—are to be had for the picking up. Oh no! says the Ministry, oh dear no! By no manner of means! How dare you suggest it?

     

No transfer: broke into last £50.

     

Bought 1/2 doz Royal Vat [whisky].

     

Shirts came; and I fetched new Stationery.

     

[Air Raid] Alert 4.50 R.[aiders] P.[assed].

     

5.2 no guns.

     

Wrote F.H. [Frieda Harris] & Mrs. Macky.
