Met Winter in Shaftesbury Avenue. He came to tea. Chess. Out of practice & not keyed up: Only won 1 & lost 3. But one loss was through a new variation in the Two Knights. B plays QKt4 instead of KtQR4 & gets one hell of an attack.
11.50 PM No [Air Raid] alert but plane over, loud, and ? a bomb dropped ? PS Yes.
