Royal natl Opthalmic Hospital Brockley Hill Stanore M’sex.
4 Ham. [Gerald Hamilton] to tea: put him off, & went to see “The Fur Coat”. So-so: some good lines & sentences, but also lost of hackneyed stuff. The plot thin & before Noah; end obvious from the start. Acting good. Note Banter, jeer, mock, rail—all unknown or doubtful origin.
Much better all day 1 3/4.
