Dreadful day of melancholy! Why? (I’m kept waiting for every body).
2.30 C.D.C. [Cambyses Daguerre Churchill] Cut this: went to “Un Carnet de Bal” hoping to cure Melancholy. It didn’t. It’s a very good film’ but—is it senility? I seem to want pleasant things. I much preferred the comic episodes.
