10 1/2 at 83. Estimate for 8 pp prospectus [for The Book of Thoth] from Chiswick Press—roughly £20 for 500. Good policy, all agree.
22nd P.M. Phoned Dr. 7 times: “Enraged” supervisor “They’ve left receiver off—will report to engineer” (A lie) Wired: “Will be delivered to-night” A lie: was left in letter-box 23rd after 4.30 PM! Phoned again about 5.30 PM immediate answer!! Some service!
