12 1/4-1/2 Cordelia [Cordelia Sutherland] to lunch. Curse her—or rather Evan [Evan Morgan]. She rang up to put me off: I think he has treated her very shabbily. He sacks her for the sake of darling Essie, & when the sweet creature proves an idle fool (as we all knew) runs after her again. Pride would stop me.
Queer dream. Caord said “Much to be done with CA. When will you hear from her? “AC: “I did hear, meant to show you chit yesterday & forgot” which is the fact!
