Wrote Cordelia [Cordelia Sutherland], ditto H.A. [Grady McMurtry] with 3 Schools of Magick.
NP Bank wrote me they had money for me—letter (by hand) reached me may 1st.
Violent face-ache—periostitis—agony—Iodine ad lib & lie-down so no out.
So—6 1/4 PM in comes Fra HA all in his jeep!
Surprise! We talked & played chess & ate most pleasantly till 10 PM.
My face, already on the mend after
rest, cleared altogether within 10 min of his arrival. But
