Wrote VI [Gerald Yorke].

     

Need of Symbolism despite [Heroin] privation.

     

Walked to Backland to Church 9 creeping things Weslyans 5 d[itt]o d[itt]o. The “minister” a doddering creature, in tweeds, most untidy. I couldn’t make out a word he said. In church they were singing a dreadful lugubrious hymn.
