8.30 PM To Aylesbury—had to stand all the way.
Gertler away. No desks or pigeon-holes or spice chests. Tried to return—queues a mile long.
Burber chock-a-block.
Mail-only one chit, nagging from Paper control—all [I Ching hexagram] 44 Kau.
[Air Raid] Alert 6.16.27.

Began XLVIII on Golden Mean.
