No Cordelia [Cordelia Sutherland]; weather too awful, I guess.
Down for drink; captured by Frieda [Frieda Harris], who brought Lord Ronald Greene (& Lady) to be introduced to me.
Dr. Ll[oyd] H[art] came! The newest remedy; but he forgot to mention that it must be taken under a waning moon in the shade of a blasted yew, with a prayer to St Couilles. I never heard plainer witchcraft!
