Oliver [Oliver Marlow Wilkinson] brought Irving St John alias Johnnie. Charming, amusing witty. Mot. My "City of God" reminded him of TS Eliot! I explained that 1st movement was written in a Russian train. he saw it at once, said "and T.S.E.[liot] is always in that train" AC "Yes, & with a third class ticket".
