Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

[I Ching hexagram] 29.

Chits from Curwen [David Curwen] with £10. VI [Gerald Yorke] with MS. Bray [Sangorski & Sutcliffe—bookbinders]. Grady [Grady McMurtry] £4.19.2.

Chess v.[ersus] Polsen. 2-0 v.[ersus] easy v.[ersus] Kirk [Wilfred H. Kirk] 1 1/2-1/2. The win was really superb—when he thought he was winning, too, I took the draw in the 2nd game for time's sake: car waiting, & storm raging. But I was a passed pawn up, & there was nothing in the position: probably should have won if played out.
