Matinee of “Night Must Fall”. Irvine St John gave a really superb performance of Dan; the rest b——y [bloody] awful!

     

Mike [Michael Houghton] tells me Dion Fortune died some weeks ago at Glastonbury.

     

Discursion. I developed my ultra-Vansittart plant for winning a war. To my great surprise, I was loudly applauded.
