6 P.M.—Yi. What shall be my immediate action? Air of Air. [I Ching Hexagram] LVII.

Act as circumstances warrant. Some great change coming. Be pliable, be elastic but penetrating, ready to take advantage of anything that lines up.

666 not well. But I think he's merely blue and bored.

9.30 666 taking Ethyl [Ether]. He declares he's an Irishman.  I challenge it.

Mantra—Unity etc.

Two quite foreign thoughts in the midst of the usual ordinary ones—at beginning I found myself suddenly transported to Coney Island. The second I found myself playing the Funeral March from Beethoven's Sonota Opus? My thoughts then became normal and the mantra stopped.*

Woke at 3—666 actually reeking with Ethyl [Ether].

*Normal—I say? I wondered if B.[east] [?] whether I should get OPV [Norman Mudd] to impregnate me etc etc.—then the usual "also a child"—which hasn't bothered me for a long long time.
