12.25 A.M. I cannot sleep but I am better. Our troubles in the past week are due to my not practicing "Pity let me off" and "If pity—etc" CCXX—.
I hereby take an Oath to cash out pity from my heart.
I will to mark this oath with the
cutting on my left forearm
1 A.M. I have done so and I find myself saying again and again There is a need for blood.
