We wanted to do some rock-climbing, but some guests arrived. Mrs. Crowley [Rose Kelly] is definitely a peculiar woman whom her husband has finally convinced that she is a complete idiot; she tries to put on airs, is critical and even abusive with the servants, and I understand Crowley who cannot wait to leave for the Indies and to stay there for several months!
