At the third stage, the serious tests begin. From Tonglu to Sandukphu, the road is very arduous, constantly rising and falling, with differences in altitude of over 600 meters. Four of our porters leave their loads at the side of the road, after having robbed them and grabbed our sugar and the food intended for their comrades. We wait for them in vain all night.
