Synopsis of Facts: Robert Alden Cornog employed as key scientist on Los Alamos DSM Project, Los Alamos, New Mex, from 4-26-43 to 9-15-43. On 3-13-45, while at Berkeley, Cornog attempted to contact Martin Kamon, a former employee of the Project who was dismissed because it was believed he had passed top secret info. to Soviet representatives. On 5-26-45 Cornog was placed on the "watch list" at the Los Alamos DSM Project by MED officials. Cornog employed by Gabriel Giannini Company, Pasadena, Calif., from 9-15-45 to 12-1-45 as Research Engineer. Employed Northrup Aircraft, Inc., Hawthorne, Calif., 12-1-45 as Project Engineer and is presently working on a special project with John K. Northrup, President of Northrup Aircraft. Employment records at Northrup reflect no der. info. Former associates regard subj. as a loyal and trustworthy individual. No unusual activities or contacts observed.

 

Cornog listed John W. Parsons [Jack Parsons], 1003 South Orange Grove Avenue, Pasadena, Calif. as a reference on his application form for employment as Northrup.
