Purpose:

 

To inform you that the subject has admitted taking seventeen documents pertaining to jet propulsion motors and rocket propellants from the Hughes Aircraft Company, and that the matter is being referred to the Department for a prosecutive opinion.

 

Details:

    

On September 15, 1950, Parsons took seventeen documents from Hughes Aircraft Company where he is employed. He has furnished a signed statement admitting removal of the documents without authority, and stating he planned to use the data in preparing proposals for building an explosive plant in Israel, and data concerning rockets and other armaments. Parsons hoped that by so doing to obtain employment as a research worker in Israel. All documents have been recovered. Parsons intended to turn them over to Herbert Rosenfeld, the subject of a pending Internal Security — R case. (100-345440)

     

Parsons has been used as a source of information in cases involving scientists at the California Institute of Technology. [Redacted].
