SUBJECT: JOHN WHITESIDE PARSONS AKA, JACK PARSONS ESPIONAGE — INTERNAL SECURITY
Rerep Special Agent [Redacted] at Los Angeles dated March 8, 1951 requesting this office obtain Naval serial number of subject's wife.
Files of Claims Division, Veterans Administration reflect that subject's wife [Majorie Cameron Parsons] entered Naval Service February 25, 1943 at Naval Training Station, Cedar Falls, Iowa and was honorably discharged November 16, 1946 as Specialist (photographic) 3C at Washington, D.C. She entered under maiden name MARJORIE ELIZABETH CAMERON and name changed by reason of marriage to MARJORIE E. PARSONS on October 19, 1946. She was assigned NSN 7042910, however, it is to be noted that there was a penciled notation in file reflecting that this was corrected to 7042900 on July 11, 1949.
She was born April 23, 1922 at Belle Plaine, Iowa and upon entering service resided at 1213 College Avenue, Davenport, Iowa. They list her occupation as free lance commercial artist and has studied art in Mexico and Paris.
For information of New York, the subject in September, 1950 removed certain classified material from Hughes Aircraft Company, Culver City, California where he was employed and was found in possession of classified material of Guggenheim Aeronautical Laboratory, California Institute of Technology upon termination from Hughes Aircraft. The case is presently under consideration by Criminal Division of Justice Department.
The New York Office will review service record of subject's wife at Garden City, Long Island under NSN 7042910 or 7042911 and furnish results to Los Angeles Office.
