SYNOPSIS OF FACTS:
Col. PAUL G. CRAMER, GSC, Chief, Security Division, G-2, Department of Army, Washington, D.C., advised that of the documents removed by subject from the Hughes Aircraft Company, Culver City, California, one bears military security classification of Restricted and four bear the military security classification of Confidential.
DETAILS:
On April 9, 1951, Col. PAUL G. CRAMER, GSC, Chief, Security Division, G-2, Department of the Army, Washington, D.C., advised by memorandum that the following are the military security classifications of the items listed on Page 5 in the report of SA [Redacted], Los Angeles, California, dated November 2, 1950. These items were left at the home of JOSEPH BOYER, [Redacted] by the subject in September of 1950.
Items 1 through 6 inclusive, and Items 9 and 10 are unclassified.
Item 7 contains information bearing a military security classification of Restricted.
Items 8, 11, 12 and 13 contain information bearing a military security classification of Confidential.
In answer to the question that "In event of prosecution would the Department of the Army have any objection to these documents being used as evidence?" Col. CRAMER advised as follows. The Department of the Army has no objection in the use of Items 1 though 7 inclusive, and Items 9 and 10 as evidence. Items 8, 11, 12 and 13 relate to current confidential research and development in relation to national defense and as such should not be divulged to unauthorized persons.
