I saw him [Aleister Crowley] at his apartment then on West 9th St in New York City. He answered my knock with a hypnotic stare and made an appointment for lunch. I remained most of the day; we took an astral journey together and in the evening he and some others [Charles Stansfeld Jones and his wife, Rubina Stansfeld Jones] . . . initiated me into the III° of O.T.O.
