C. F. Russell Diary Entry

[Crowley writes] "I note for future reference that Frater Genesthai [C. F. Russell], being a Neophyte, is likely to be obsessed by a siren and that in any case he will undergo the appropriate ordeal during my absence in Paris. It will be amusing to compare his experience with that of Glyndon in 'Zanoni'"

The big ordeal was keeping my temper and oath under the domination of a female with a schoolmarm complex [Leah Hirsig]—I managed!
