8:45. Read LXV—beautiful—last chapter most important.
10:30. Read three chapters of CCXX.
12:00. Ador. Then Invoking Tahuti, etc.
8:35. "Luna"!
11:30 p.m. Glory to Nuit, Hadit and Ra Hoor Khuit! S---- [Ninette Shumway] brought me two bottles of water, piece of bread, lemon, 3 eggs (1 broken). Drank my fill and blessed Auramoth. "Misunderstanding about my conduct"? I obeyed the message—what more do they want—should have elaborated—I can read English! "Swelled head"? No news to me, been afflicted thusly with good reason all my life—up here now precisely to deal with it and learn how to handle any slight touch of the same disease in others. This evening I began to formulate my program—since nasty complexes exert violent intrigues will not let the devil get a foothold by writing about it.
