Here since June 25, and while not depressed have been calm over aloneness. Last evening [illegible] seemed to hurry away from the French lesson, as though weary of me. For the first my spirits flagged and sunk. And the [illegible] got busy! For twenty four hours I struggled against their hold. Then that evening at seven was there forward into [illegible] a blessed stream of love. It filled my brain and overflowed and left me with renewed strength, peace and understanding. It is Creative love I must encompass here that my lesson of Bou-Saada.

Dignity, patience, confidence.
