Jane Wolfe Diary Entry

A.M.

7:20 - 30

HARPOCRATES.

Invocation.

7:30 - 50

ASANA, thunderbolt.

Snarled up between tight breath and a consequent holding of top of stomach, producing a caved in feeling and inability to take a good breath.

7:50 - 8:10

DHARANA, yellow sq.

Hit this well at times—mind wandering badly at others.

P.M.

9:20

See in Eq[uinox] V p 98—‘2. The Ego; that which thinks ‘I’—a falsehood, because to think ‘I’ is to deny ‘Not-I’ and thus to create the Dyad.’

HARPOCRATES: Behold I am.

My entry of Sept. 10. Watch this and see just what ‘I am’ means to me.

9:45 - 10:05

ASANA, thunderbolt.

Got down to earth. Held myself a runner ready to spring over the line at the signal. Held this steady—in the beginning at least, but it took strength; rested a moment for Dharana.

10:06 - 25

DHARANA, yellow sq.

Kept my head in sight of earth here too. Tired after 10 mins. Difficulty in holding sq. so grabbed it between hands and held so for 5 mins, using an extra spurt of strength. Relaxed a moment, then finished tamely. Left leg numb, no feeling in foot.

10:30

HARPOCRATES.

Invocation.
