Jane Wolfe Diary Entry

Received something definite last night on sex, which I cannot explain. I looked at physical form, then continued to penetrate layer after layer, the skeleton being the spiritual. At the end of this experience—for this came through understanding, through absorption or feeling as I sometimes use the word, nothing mental—I traveled up a path which reminded me of the Tree of Life, only I went from, say, Yod to Tiphereth and, while expecting to continue towards Chesed, came back to Netsach. There the experience ended.

I then left this far field, returned to a nearer and clearer one, and joined a Teacher, a man, whom I wished to tell the story, but found I could not remember.

After three or four days of an indescribable stress I find myself ro-day calm and at peace.

This evening I leave for Palermo.
