Jane Wolfe Diary Entry

Tuesday, 14 December 1920

A.M.

Waked about 3:30; no sleep. Read Diana of Inlet. Turned in at 6:15. Waked at 8.

P.M.

8:15

Tried work this a.m. for 1/2 hr. but cannot recall results. (Why not make entries at the time, any way?)

This noon could not work on scenarios—thought to type record, muscles sore. Tired, tried to sleep. Could not. Tried to work at 3, could not.

So let everything slide.

Now I feel in a humble mood, ready to take my place at the feet of the class—where I belong! What have I been doing, what attaining since May, 1918?

Steadfastness.

That which will prepare me for the Work.

Took first grass Dec. 8, end of second day responded as to gentle laxative. Disorder grew, increasingly rising to a crescendo, leaving me weak. No grass to-day—this evening bowels quiet.
