Jane Wolfe Diary Entry

Saturday, 29 January 1921

A.M.

The life of the Abbey, its inmates, have not in all these months entered my dreams, excepting A.C., he possibly three or four times. Now, suddenly, I dream.

Lea [Leah Hirsig] and the dressmaking orgy.

A.C. and Lea (two or three nights before his departure), they at that time coming in for a most furious onslaught by me, over a “book to be returned to the Astor Library”.

(Lea told me something 2 days before leaving)

Last night I dream the Abbey in celebration of Lea’s third pregnancy.

Opium—no results.
