Jane Wolfe Diary Entry

A.M.

Wakeful, so tried visions.

3:00

Not successful with B U E R

Used:

“Thee I invoke, abiding one”, etc.

Repeated over and over, going through space, first four lines. After a time came to a gold rock. Hazy impression of small beings with bodies and heads especially round, thin legs. Passed by them, and over some distance, noting this place was off in space. Nothing more.

Called on Melchizedek (because of his connection with the name Yatonith). Came to a large door, of most excellent perfection, finished in white and gold. Lines like those on cover of Konx Om Pax, though at different angles, the white bands, some up, some down, being outlined in gold. Did not get through—at least this was all.

P.M.

Lea [Leah Hirsig] back from Palermo. No work, as we talked over much.

9:35-53

Asana, cross-legged on box in East before altar. Excellent.

9:55-10:15

Dharana.

Have I floundered on this ever since resuming exercises. Battled again, then discovered that mind stilled, the “inner” held receptive—waiting for God, attitude of attention to receive—seems the thing for me rather than sq. Became still to all sound, pain of ankles on box, etc.

This Asana and Dharana best ever experienced for concentration. Feeling of strength and repose when finished.

Harpocrates, 7’.

Some thoughts in Asana—Dharana any thought too weak to register.

Genesthai [C. F. Russell] regarding schedule.

Where pot was placed in room.

Suppose fouly[1] diseased body desired A.C. and Lea (Just read Abbey record & their oaths to give body to all who desired)

Just who was Semiramis.

Two or three others during last 10’—these during first 10’.

Bed at mid-night.
