Jane Wolfe Diary Entry

Been through several days of spiritual depression. To-day is gorgeous sunshine, cool and delightful wind. I feel like kicking up my heels and hoofing it toward Gibilmana. O, for a tramp with a congenial companion. Think Bickie’s [Sheridan Bickers] letter to A.C. helped boost my spirits. It was a pleasure to hear from him again.

P.M.

Howard [Howard Shumway] and I up Gibilmana road to the ‘Summit’. Blackberries, grapes and many figgerinis (given us) on the way. He tired at intervals going up—coming down frisky as a young goat. We stole a big bunch of grapes coming home. (Beastly things they were too, without flavour.)
