Jane Wolfe Diary Entry circa April 1932
On the first of April of this year, the house at Carlton way was sold and Regina [Regina Kahl] received a notice to move. In my interest in a new house for her a building began to form in my mind, with its occupant a slender, gray haired woman of refinement. I think it means the new home for Regina. The picture grew stronger and stronger in my mind until I realized the two-story house with its occupant is of moment to me and not to Regina.
