Jane Wolfe Diary Entry Sunday, 16 March 1941
[We were all invited to a propaganda supper at the Parson's [Jack Parsons and Helen Northrup] home to which Jack had invited 'prospects.]
My first visit to their home in Pasadena, a place with a delightful atmosphere.
It would be that!
[Jack played Stravinsky's "Rites of Spring" and Jane recited A.C.'s "Hymn to Pan."]
Never did I read this so well—the silence following, when one could have heard the proverbial pin drop, attested the note of sincerity struck. But I doubt there were any recruits—but then one never knows.
