Catherine Falconer was a friend of Aleister Crowley' who served in the Women's Royal Naval Service and paid occasional visits to Netherwood. Crowley sketched her portrait in pastels and the picture survives.  In a letter to Louis Wilkinson, Crowley wrote: "This is the Girl of Girls! You saw her impudently smiling face on my walls at 93 Jermyn St. Now look for her; the other end is prehensile; God's greatest gift to any woman."
