Oliver Jacobi
Born: 1894. Died: 1974.
Oliver Jacobi was one of Wilfred Talbot Smith's students in the A∴A∴ and was known as Frater C.H.A.C. or 913. He was Smith's co-worker at the Southern California Gas Company and lived in San Bernardino, California.
Jacobi took the Minerval initiation in the O.T.O. on 20 February 1931. The initiation was conducted in Smith's apartment with assistance from Jane Wolfe. When Smith began giving performances of the Gnostic Mass Jacobi served as Deacon and in 1933 was appointed by Crowley as Grand Treasurer General of Smith's Lodge. Later in 1934 Jacobi assisted Smith with the incorporation of the Church of Thelema.
In 1936 Jacobi was forced to resign from the O.T.O. after an investigation was conducted by the Southern California Gas Company and he was accused of involvement with an "immoral Order." |
