Emily Sophia Talbot Smith (née Jackson)

Emily Sophia Talbot Smith (usually known as “Nem”), was the common-law wife of Wilfred Talbot Smith. Her daughter Katherine Talbot joined her and Wilfred on 10 September 1914 and the three of them moved into house at 138 13th Street East, North Vancouver on 22 October, 1914.

She was initiated into the O.T.O. in the 0° degree on 17 April 1915, the I° degree on 5 September 1915, the II° degree on 25 September 1915, and the III° degree on 27 October 1915 through the British Columbia Lodge No. 1.
