Exhibition of Occult and Alchemical Designs for

the Cards of the Tarot of the Egyptians

The cover reproduces an early design of the first trump, The Magician.

The catalog was printed for the exhibition originally planned for 7 – 21 June 1941 at the The Nicholson Gallery (Nicholson & Venn) at 46 High Street, Oxford. Despite Lady Frieda Harris’ arrangement with Nicholson & Venn they withdrew from the agreement shortly before the opening of the exhibition. Lady Harris was forced to quickly move the exhibition to a hired room at the nearby Randolph Hotel.

The text of the catalog is believed to have been written by Frieda Harris from notes provided by Crowley.
