Correspondence from Charles Stansfeld Jones to Aleister Crowley
Post Office Box 70 Vancouver. B.C.
April 27th 1916. An XII Sun in Taurus
Care Frater,
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law!
Thank you very much for yours of the 14th inst, which answers my questions, and is very encouraging.
It would seem that I am gradually getting nearer to the proper conception of the matter, although my progress in that direction may seem rather slow. I shall get there for all that; practice and experiment seem to be the important points just now.
Of course the central idea of the VII° orients one; if I hadn’t been in such a damnable state of mind just then, I should never have expressed a doubt on that point.
Re. Kundalini. Your remarks give me a definite idea to work for, but only Work, not thought, can help me there.
You did not say anything about my earlier letter of March 27th, which dealt with the Lodge work. We are doing our best but there is little encouragement.
For some reason. I should much like to see the matter going ahead, instead of standing still, or worse. It is imperative that we find a method of interesting and holding members; the regular attendants are very few indeed.
Love is the law, love under will.
Yours fraternally, in the Bonds of the Order.
