February 18th 1923.
Dear Madam,
I received your letters of the 12th instant, and have now to communicate to you a telegram which was delivered to me last evening in the following terms:—
"Have heard that my son loveday residing a Villa Santa Barbara Cefalu has died wife probably destitute can you assist her home charges to Loveday 112 Barry Road London SE 22"
If you will let me know your intentions and requirements I am willing to help you. I enclose fifty lire in case you wish to telegram and have not the means.
