Dear Mr. Cope [Stuart R. Cope]:
Enclosed the correct arrangement for the "Signs of the Grades."
With regard to the estimate, will you please tell Mr. Estieu that I am waiting to see Mr. Yorke [Gerald Yorke]. We had not made any special arrangements about payment as we wanted the book [Magick in Theory and Practice] to finance itself, and this can be done within a week or two, provided we have half a dozen complete sets which our salesmen can take round to the booksellers. You will see that only 75 copies need be sold to clear our account with you, but we cannot show imperfect sets to booksellers. They are always nervous about books issued in parts. They wonder whether the whole lot are coming out.
