Thank you for your letters of October 31st [letter #1  letter #2] and for the copy of the Statement of Claim. I am bound to say I expected some definite sum would be asked for. Maybe the fact that it is not, is a small sign of weakness.

     

I also take this opportunity of returning to you the list of members of the Institute of International Affairs which you kindly lent us.
