"LAUGHING TORSO"
Dear Sadleir,
You will remember that at the beginning of February we were directed to give particulars to Crowley about Cefalu.
Betty May, who is our informant, has been friendly and helping us and the particulars are now ready to be delivered and I send you a copy of them. The facts about Cefalu except those supplied by Nina Hamnett are out of Betty May's book [Tiger Woman] and also checked by her.
Betty May telephoned me the other day that she had heard that Crowley had fallen out with his solicitors. The information appears to have come from Nina Hamnett and Betty May asked her to lunch but found her uncommunicative. Still, it seems to be about in many mouths and is probably true. Unless Crowley can finance his action we shall hear no more of it.
The particulars have to be delivered to-morrow and as I think you may wish to see them I am enclosing a copy. I am sending them to your home as Kyllmann says you will not be up till Wednesday. If there is any vital alteration required perhaps you would telephone but if I do not hear from you by three o'clock I will deliver them.
I have heard from Miss Mary Butts, she has no information which would be of use to us and is anxious not to appear in the case.
Yours sincerely,
Charles S.J. Harper
