If your memory is as bad as that mine is not. Also I have now heard of the rotten treatment being accorded to Smith [Wilfred Talbot Smith] by same parties and will neither countenance nor be drawn into such things.

     

Under the circumstances it is best that we drop further correspondence and return to the status of silence upheld during the last ten years except for this brief interlude of exchange of letters in the last few months.
