Correspondence from Wilfred Talbot Smith to Perry Tull
[SUMMARY]
August 14, 1942
A typed letter signed, of approximately 12 lines, on a quarto-sized sheet of paper, from Wilfred Talbot Smith, to Perry Tull, dated August 14, 1942 e.v., on printed Ordo Templi Orientis letterhead, with typewritten Orange Grove Avenue (Pasadena) address at head of page.
Smith begins and ends the letter with the full Thelemic Greetings ("Do as thou wilt, etc"). He starts with a complaint about the Postal Department, which have "messed things up" on several occasions, including returning letters which were dispatched to him to the sender. Apparently Tull had been out of touch for some time, and Smith says that it was assumed by those in the Lodge that he had been drafted until Jack Parsons called on him during a trip East and was able to report otherwise! The letter is signed in full, W. T. Smith.
[signed] W. T. Smith
