Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Louis Umfreville Wilkinson
Louis Wilkinson Grove Heart Ripley Surrey

Dear Louis
Of course it didn’t make any difference; let’s forget it!
Especially as I have two important requests that I must make to you.
1. It costs me £2 to send Watson [Herbert Watson] to London for booze. Would you be an absolute lamb, & collect it, & bring it with you? Details F[ortnam] & M[ason]. Mr Barrance. 2 bottles port: I trust him to pick it. 1 bottle whisky: I think the 2 months has elapsed, so that he can give me my “ration.”
H. & B. Mr. Upchurch. 3 bottles “Royal Vat” perhaps, in view of Xmas, he will make it 4. I suppose you would have to call personally when he is there, & take them away straight off.
Cost in all about £14: shall I send it to you, or square up when you arrive? Please let me know in any case if can do, else must fix Watson.
2. I want you to be a IX° O.T.O. to witness the swearing in of a new Member of the Sovereign Sanctuary on Sunday. All you have to do is to stand by & say not one word; as soon as he has signed, depart & leave him with me. He goes back by the 5.5 (is it?) The point is: I don’t want him pumping you about the Order.
I’ll explain further on Friday.
I will try to meet you 6.16 P.M. in person; if prevented will send a car. (Often there isn’t one at the station)
Thine
Aleister
