Correspondence from Gerald Yorke to Charles Stansfeld Jones

Dear Jones,

Your 27/4/48. I cannot honestly take on Probationers as I do not accept The Book of the Law in toto, and I have not the practical knowledge to see them through the full course. What I do know is of course at the disposal of those who seek it. No longer being an active member of AA I cannot take on Probationers. You tell me not to pass them on to you, so I shall give future enquirers Germer's [Karl Germer] address if they ask for it. At present my O.T.O. typescripts go to the British Museum. I might however give them to a suitable individual if the latter comes along.

Your 27/4/48. You and Germer both write to me hinting that the other has fallen foul of Because and his kin.

Your 28/4/48, brief statement. This answers most of the questions which I have repeatedly  asked you. I do hope you are right. I see however no signs in the world that Period of War and Vengeance is at an end. Your 28/4/48 also clarifies things a bit for me.

Yours,
